FAQ’s

At the Kurrimine Beach Holiday Park we always say “there’s no such thing as a silly question”. We have listed out below our answers to the questions we get asked the most. Don’t worry if you can’t find the answer to your question here, give us a call and we’ll be only too happy to give you all the information you need.

Can I bring my dog if we are staying in a cabin?

Dogs are not permitted inside our cabins under any circumstances, they can be left on the deck/patio area.

Whilst we are a pet friendly park and your dog is more than welcome we do ask that you seriously consider the implications of holidaying with your four legged friend, we have so many families that bring a dog on holiday and then end up taking it home again after a couple of days. The added responsibility of looking after a dog in a caravan park does not always make for a relaxing time.

For the safety and quiet enjoyment of all our guests we are strict on our pet policy. We ask that if you bring a pet with you that it must be on a leash and under control at all times, ensure you pack some doggy bags as you must clean up after your dog. Dogs are not permitted in children’s play areas or our camp kitchen. You cannot leave your dog unattended at your cabin and the dog must not annoy your neighbours.

Do I have to pay to use the water park and pool if I am staying in the park?

Your site/accommodation fees include all facilities on the park – there is nothing extra to pay.

I have friends coming to visit me – can they use the pool and waterpark?

Yes, you are more than welcome to have visitors to your site or cabin for the day. We ask that all visitors leave their cars outside the main entrance to the park. If your visitor intends to use the pool, water park, etc a DAY USE FEE applies, overnight visitors attract the usual tariffs. All visitors must be registered at Reception and be issued with wristbands to use the facilities.

Do I have to bring linen? NO

All our Family Beach Houses, Villas and Cabins etc. now have all linen provided. We do recommend packing a pool/beach towel for each guest as these are not provided.

What facilities are there at Kurrimine Beach?

You can find full information on shops, dining out and things to see and do at Kurrimine Beach by clicking here – Kurrimine Beach Information.

Is there somewhere I can buy groceries close by?

Kurrimine Beach has a service station which serves as our general store, newsagent and post office. Here you can buy fresh bread, milk and a selection of fruit, vegetables and general grocery items. Our hotel has a bottleshop, a TAB and an ATM. There is a cafe and a takeaway shop. At the park we sell ice, ice creams, bait, refill gas bottles and a small range of lollies and other goods. Our closest supermarkets are approximately 30 minutes away in Mission Beach, Tully and Innisfail.

Can I bring the children’s bikes and scooters?

The roads in our park are gravel, whilst bikes work well, scooter, skateboards and roller skates are not so great. If you bring bikes we ask that appropriate safety gear is worn, that you ensure your children to ride around sites and that bikes are not to be ridden after dark. We do have some ride on cars and a couple of scooters in our playroom for all children to use.

We also have a couple of family bikes (that seat up to 3 adults and 2 children) available for hire at our park.

Can we use the facilities after we check-out?

Our check out time is strictly 10:00am. You are welcome to stay and use our facilities after you have checked out. Normal day visitor fees do apply to any late departures. $5 per person for half a day and $10 per person for a full day.

How far are you to the beach?

You can hear the sea from your site/cabin. We are one block back from the beach, approximately 70m.

What are your check-in and check out times?

Our check-in time for sites is 11:00am and for cabins 2:00pm. The check-out time is 10:00am for both sites and cabins. Whilst we will make every effort to accommodate early arrivals there is no guarantee that we will be able to do so especially at peak times.

Please contact our office if you will be arriving after 6pm and we will be able to give you your site/cabin number and explain our late check-in procedures.
